Stellar Observatory Notes

Personal logs and observations from the deep sky expeditions.

Observation Log - Cycle 734

NGC 7000 (North America Nebula)

Faint but discernible H-alpha emission. Clusters of young stars appear to be responsible for ionization. The characteristic "shape" is more pronounced at higher magnifications, though definition is soft.

Date: 734.11.03

M13 (Hercules Globular Cluster)

Struggled to resolve individual stars at the core due to atmospheric turbulence. Overall magnitude is higher than anticipated. Interesting variations in stellar density across the cluster's face.

Date: 734.11.05

Galactic Core Scan (Sagittarius A*)

Primary scan data returned. Significant radio interference from background sources. Will require dedicated filtering to isolate the core's anomalous emissions. Patience required.

Date: 734.11.08

Equipment & Calibration

Primary Mirror Realignment

Detected a slight astigmatism post-transfer. Performed a manual realignment. Spectrographic analysis indicates improved focus acuity across all bands.

Date: 734.10.29

Sensor Array Diagnostic

All spectral sensors within acceptable deviation parameters. Cosmic ray flux within expected limits for this sector. No anomalies detected in the thermal regulation system.

Date: 734.11.01

Anomalous Readings & Theories

Subspace Flux Detected (Sector 8G)

Brief but significant distortion in local subspace readings. Not consistent with known stellar phenomena. Investigating potential exotic matter interactions or gravitational lensing anomalies. Further study needed.

Date: 734.11.10
