Object Observed Andromeda Galaxy (M31)
Magnitude 3.4
Telescope Celestron NexStar 8SE
Conditions Clear, Bortle 3

Observer Notes:

Excellent view of the core and spiral arms. The dust lanes were clearly discernible with averted vision. A truly breathtaking sight. Long exposure photography attempted for better detail capture.

Object Observed Orion Nebula (M42)
Magnitude 4.0
Telescope Dobson 10-inch
Conditions Slight haze, Bortle 4

Observer Notes:

Nebulosity very apparent, especially the bright core. The Trapezium cluster was prominent. Saw hints of the fainter outer regions. Some light pollution from a nearby town reduced overall clarity.

2024-01-02
Object Observed Pleiades Star Cluster (M45)
Magnitude 1.6
Telescope Refractor 70mm
Conditions Very clear, Bortle 2

Observer Notes:

A spectacular view of the Seven Sisters. The blue haze of the nebula surrounding the stars was vivid and distinct. Even with the smaller aperture, the beauty of the cluster was undeniable.
