Chronicles of Atmospheric Phenomena
A thick blanket of fog clung to the valleys until around 10 AM, obscuring the distant hills. As it burned off, brilliant, sharp sunbeams cut through the remaining wisps, illuminating dust motes in the air. Temperature was surprisingly mild for late autumn, around 12°C.
A brief but intense downpour occurred mid-afternoon. The rain cleared as quickly as it arrived, leaving the air smelling fresh and clean. A faint, but complete, rainbow was visible for about twenty minutes to the east. Wind picked up slightly after the rain.
A perfect autumn day. The sky was a deep, cloudless blue from sunrise to sunset. The air was noticeably crisp, with temperatures dropping to around 4°C overnight and reaching a high of 15°C. Excellent visibility.
The day remained under a consistent layer of grey clouds. No precipitation, but the light was diffused, giving everything a softer appearance. A steady, gentle breeze rustled the leaves, which are now in peak fall colour.
